I came up through the code. I started in Java and Spring Boot at Accenture, moved into the Scrum Master seat on the same programme, and now own end-to-end delivery of a Workiva-integrated financial reporting web application built for a US client by 17 engineers across US and India hours. What I do: delivery ownership (scope, milestones, releases against real capacity, honest go-live calls); Scrum day in and day out (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retros, scrum-of-scrums, DoD/DoR); risk and stakeholder management (live RAID log, weekly status packs for client leadership); Workiva implementation (Wdesk financial reporting, Wdata processing chains, DataPrep, ERP and Salesforce integrations — 50+ API integrations delivered); and coaching engineers.
Results: sprint throughput 45 → 54 points and commitment-to-delivery 78% → 94% over two quarters; ~30% faster delivery with ~20% less rework on a fixed-date engagement; ~40% less manual effort across a multi-engagement portfolio.
